November 2024 Meeting
November was an important meeting as we voted for our new officers!
The meeting also featured an amazing presentation by Gayla Seale! She spoke of her influences – authors such as Rick Rubin and Elizabeth Gilbert, family members, life experiences, and finding inspiration in repeated themes. Focusing on one theme helps give the artist a direction. Themes are foudn in everything from songs to slogans to theme parks to music and of course, in art! Gayla spoke about her art that centers around locations she travels. Check out her space at The Emporium Center, Studio 110 and her website !
Looking forward to our Christmas Party on December 10th at 6pm at the Calhouns on Kingston Pike at Pellissippi Parkway 10020 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37922. Please sign up by December 2nd HERE. Hope to see you there!
Framing Presentation for Shows
Proper finishing of artwork creates a coherent and impressive exhibition that is professional and neat to the eye. Unframed or improperly framed pieces can make or break sales and can inhibit sales of adjacently hung art.Not everyone who buys a painting or other art...
