Fine Arts and Mural Commissions
Commercial and Residential Artist
Marcia Shelly, recognized by the signature, “Maru,” specializes in vibrant, colorful paintings that have captured the attention of admirers throughout the U.S. and internationally. She sees art as a wonderful puzzle, finding the key to balance, color, depth, and composition and making them fit together. In her own words, “You think you know what you are going to achieve right from the start, you think you know the key to the puzzle. It will always trick you. Finding the ‘wow’ can be very elusive.”
Joni Smith is a mixed media artist who fluctuates between abstract and representational art and uses whichever medium or combination of mediums that best suits the subject matter. She enjoys learning new techniques and processes and loves combining these different ways to create.
Joni has a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Winthrop College. She lives in Farragut, TN and is a member of the Tennessee Artists Association and the Knoxville Arts and Culture Alliance.

Alcohol Inks, Basketry, Oils and Photography
Kathleen Janke creates art in multiple mediums concentrating on pine needle basketry and alcohol inks. The results are largely inspired by her close connection to the natural environment of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and her love of gardening and experience with landscape design. While the vistas and flora of the park lend themselves to the utter spontaneity and brilliance of color with alcohol ink, pine needle/gourd basketry goes beyond the two-dimensional art form. The baskets become tangible three dimensional pieces of art using materials that the earth provides that she can wrap her hands around. Much of the material she grows or collect in a sustainable manner on walks.
