WINTER at Frothy Monkey
Location: 419 S Gay St, Knoxville, TN 37902

Theme: WINTER
This exhibit challenges artists to create artwork that reflects the beauty of winter, focusing on concepts such as:

• Coziness
• Embracing the Slow
• Taking Our Time
• Hibernation and Reflection
• How Nature Sheds the Old and Turns Inward During Winter

Artists are encouraged to create large 2D pieces—the larger, the better. It is preferred that no work should be under 20 inches on the shortest side.

Submission Deadline:

• January 11, 2025

Drop-off and Pick-up Schedule:

• Pick-up: Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 3:00 PM
• Drop-off: Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 3:30 PM – Just pull up to the door and there will be two volunteers there to take your work, no need to park. Be sure it is labeled with a check attached.

Entry Guidelines:

• Up to 3 pieces may be entered. Digital images of the artwork are required (phone images are acceptable).
• Size Restrictions: Large works are preferred due to the high walls in the gallery, though the upper gallery can accommodate smaller pieces.
• Entry Fee: $10 per piece (payable by cash or check).

How to Enter:
To enter, email Marcia Shelly at marciashell@aol.com with the following information for each piece:

• Title of submission
• Medium
• Price
• Size
• A picture of the artwork (phone images are acceptable)

Framing/Hanging Requirements:
Artwork must meet TAA’s framing and presentation guidelines. Please review them at tnartists.org/presentation-for-shows.

Labeling:
Please label the back of each piece with the following:

• Artist Name
• Title
• Medium
• Price

TAA Labels for Art

Sales:
There is no commission on sales from either TAA or Frothy Monkey. If your work sells, you will be notified, and another piece must be brought in to replace it. Sales are handled directly between the artist and buyer.

Eligibility:
Open to all TAA members in good standing. Artists who exhibited in the previous 3 months will be considered after new applicants.

Important Notes:

• This is a non-juried show, and no awards will be given.
